William Glenn was born and raised in the Former Republic of Texas. A writer, translator and editor, he lived for five years in Madrid, Spain, where he co-founded Terra Incognita, an international literary/cultural journal published in both English and Spanish. He currently serves as Editor for Music in Gotham: The New York Scene, 1862-1875, a research project of the City University of New York, and he is the History Librarian at Stony Brook University.
