Welcome to poetryvlog.com
A weekly video reading of poetry by the poet.

We welcome videos from published poets. Acceptance will be determined by the poetry editor and technical staff.

Many computers nowadays come with built in mics and cameras, making the process of self recording much easier. We can consider recordings of a poet created in this manner. We recommend you stand in front of a computer which has a video cam attached to it, and speak clearly into the microphone. Save the video as a QuickTime file, then e-mail us at michael@poetryvlog.com and we will give you simple instructions how to ftp it or send it to us as an e-mail attachment.

Using a standard digital video camcorder with a miniDV tape and a built-in mic you can record your reading, then send us the tape which we will return, or transfer the recording from the camera to your computer, save it as a QuickTime file, then e-mail us at michael@poetryvlog.com and we will give you simple instructions how to ftp it or send it to us as an e-mail attachment.

We prefer to maintain a relatively consistent format and production style, so please see videos we have already posted prior to recording.
