Retired science teacher, Tom Stock, lives in the core area of the Pine Barrens. He is an active journal and poetry writer. As a long-time naturalist, he incorporates nature experiences into his poems. He has many hobbies; for example, beekeeping, garlic growing, farm hand, puppeteer. He is a handyman with tools as well as words and phrases. He hosts poetry gatherings at his home and has done so since the first Suffolk County poet laureate came on the scene.
