in the autumn air
hang on summer rain
cuddle in corners
curl along the deck
cover the pool:
memory and desire.
I long to awaken
in Dublin
with you
anew
near the green-palette mountains
rising from the Irish Sea
at Trinity
or Bray
Let me be Nora
and Frieda
and Maude
And watch the swans swim
and the geese migrate
at Coole
then tightly wrap a sweater
around my future.
