I photograph you
while you sleep,
when all we share
is ozone and oxygen,
and breath and pulse become one
in an otherwise empty bed,
where aspirations are conceived
and moonbeams frame your face.
I linger in this place,
await the dawn
when sunlight
breaks the dream.
