A weekly video reading of poetry by the poet.
Corona
by Cath Nichlos
We are far apart,
in towns whose rivers
mouth different coastlines:
Liverpool and Teignmouth.
In old time stories
we’d be lovers who’d
look up at the sky at
a pre-arranged time,
to the same stars, or the moon,
and think of the other, looking.
Constellations would move
into signs, no clocks needed.
This evening though,
I switch on Coronation Street
at half-past seven,
and think of you, doing the same.
