Peter Thabit Jones, was born in Swansea, Wales. Author of eight books of poetry and one prose book. Published in many anthologies and teachers' resources from publishers, such as Penguin, Oxford University Press, and British Council Moscow. Peter's first book published by an American publisher is The Lizard Catchers (Cross-Cultural Communications, 2006) and a second, a shared chapbook with Vince Clemente, is Bridging the Waters: Swansea to Sag Harbor (The Seventh Quarry / CCC, 2008). Peter is also the editor of a Swansea-based poetry magazine with an international perspective.
Peter's poetry which has been translated into a dozen languages has been broadcast on British and American television. His poem “Kilvey Hill” is incorporated into a permanent stained-glass window in a new school built in Swansea in 2007.
