Peter V. Dugan is a resident of East Rockaway, a graduate of The New School in New York City and a member of the Rockville Centre Poets. Wysteria Ltd. published his first book length collection titled Medusa’s Overbite in 2001. He has facilitated poetry workshops, taught classes on form and style and has hosted various Poets in Nassau poetry readings.
Peter V. Dugan has won local and national awards for his poetry. Some notables are an Honorable Mention by The American Academy of Poets, a 2nd place for Farmingdale State College Raynor Wallace poetry contest, a 2nd place for the Dowling College Poetry Slam and several places winning poem in Barnes and Noble and the Performance Poetry Association.
His pieces have been published individually in recent years in Aitia, a magazine of philosophy and art, Perpetual Toxins, Good Liar, every year from 1997-2006 Long Island PPA Literary Review and the upcoming 2007 edition of Long Island Sounds.
