Lynn Cohen was nominated for the 2006 Pushcart Prize for Poetry. She is an expert on T. S. Eliot’s poetry having done a thesis on his works and spoken on them at the National Modern Language Association and at local conferences on Christianity and Literature. Her scholarly essay entitled, “Universal Themes Running Recurrently through Momentary Fragments in Time in the Works of Emily Dickinson and T. S. Eliot,” is being anthologized by Abbeywood Press in All Things Emily. She also has lectured widely on modern literature and given many poetry readings..
Lynn co-edited The North Sea Poetry Scene’s LI Sounds 2007 Poetry Anthology. Lynn teaches at Hofstra University and Suffolk Community College. She has published a chapbook, Lone Star Days, and some of her poems appear in Freshet, the Literary Review, Long Island Sounds, The Improper Hamptonian, Creations, The Poet’s Art, Sentinel, Poetz, Poetica, Soul Fountain and The Pedestal Magazine.
