In This Time of Increasing War
by Kirpal Gordon
We weep ya bloody in Hiroshima runny. We sleep ya in fits in Auschwitz,
Bunny. We never forget the gettin’ that gettin’ can never get, Daddy Mac. We're
bet to that under sweet peat moss, deep in Hackensack stacked, Sonny.
War is not the answer, we're certain, Halliburton honey. We live with bouts
of cancer, Lance A & give shouts of witness with our illness: we lay out in
grief as con & dodge men make a mendacity of democracy---a tonny.
The pipes are callin', Donny! Prices alarmin', the joint's up in arms some:
chumped for fools when up from the ground comes a bubbling crude, oil & death
ain't funny, goin’ Guantanamo to Geronimo the infidel, stun-gunny.
Why beat a retreat, Chumley, but reach out to readers, school deceivers, seek
connection to renew language in a masquerade so clumsy TV says be afraid, we
hunt thee. Stand mighty, however unlikely.
