Welcome to poetryvlog.com
A weekly video reading of poetry by the poet.
Cath Nichols recently read from her work 'The Woolworths Suite' in the USA
together with Aileen La Tourette and Emily Hinshelwood. This will be
published by Headland Press in a full-length collection, My Glamourous
Assistant, in September 2007. See www.cathnichols.com for orders and further
information.
Tales of Boy Nancy (Driftwood, 2005), another work for three voices, was
produced in 2005 as a short film with music at the National Maritime Museum,
in Liverpool. Cath worked for four years as co-ordinator of the 'Dead Good
Poets Society' in Liverpool (www.deadgoodpoetssociety.co.uk ), but this year
starts research for a PhD at Lancaster University in Poetry and Radio.
Cath has been judge of a competition that led to poets being filmed for the
BBC Big Screen in Liverpool. She herself was recorded for the Oxfam 'Life
lines' CD, together with the UK's poet laureate Andrew Motion and others
such as Carol Ann Duffy in 2006. But this is her first videoed web reading!
