Camillo DiMaria was born in the Bushwick, Brooklyn to parents born in Castellammare Del Golfo and Palermo, Sicily.  He studied at Hunter College and Brooklyn College. In addition to English, Camillo speaks French, Italian, and Spanish.  

He has been featured at many venues, including George Whitman's Shakespeare and Co. in Paris, Queens Museum of Art, the Barn reading in Huntington, and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum.  He is the editor of "Freshet", the poetry magazine published by the Fresh Meadows Poets of Queens.  He is the author of three chapbooks respectively titled: "23 poems," "25 poems," and "29 poems."
