Barbara Southard grew up on a canal in Freeport, Long Island.
She lived for several years in Woodstock, New York, then Corvallis, Oregon.
Starting out as a painter and printmaker, her work evolved over the years into
combining word and image on a Mac.

Her poetry is a continuum of a life-long process. A number of her poems have been published in recent years in various journals and anthologies. She currently lives & writes in Miller Place, New York.
